The stage is set for the Liga MX Apertura Liguilla games, which kick off tonight and continue through Sunday.

The final eight of the Apertura part of the 2016/17 Liga MX season features Chivas, Club America, Tigres, Pumas, Tijuana, Club Leon, Necaxa and Pachuca. While the showcase game will be the two legs between Chivas and Club America, many of the other games promise to be entertaining too. Keep an eye out for Pachuca, especially, who are the best side in Liga MX and the favorites to win the Liguilla.

Liga MX fans will be able to give thanks this week as well as catch the best plays of Mexican club soccer LIVE on Univision networks starting on Wednesday, November 23rd, with coverage by its team of sportscasters. Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) that also includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network, announced the broadcast schedule for the playoff stage of the Apertura 2016 tournament.

The 18 teams of Liga MX, Mexico’s top professional league and the most-watched soccer league in the U.S., have been whittled down to an elite eight, which will now battle each other in the Liguilla. Traditional powerhouses and biggest Mexican rivals, Chivas and América will be joined by Pachuca, the Clausura 2016 champion, along with León, Necaxa, Pumas, Tijuana and Tigres.

On Thursday and Sunday, fans will take sides in the hotly anticipated “Súper Clásico,” as Chivas and América face-off for the second time in league quarterfinals this year. “The Súper Clásico” will air live on Univision with a simulcast on UDN. Fans can tune in to Mexico’s biggest soccer rivalry beginning at 10:25 p.m. ET/7:25 p.m. PT on Thursday and at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT on Sunday.

Coverage of all matches will continue through Sunday, November 27, which will decide who will continue on to the Semifinals scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 30 and Thursday, December 1, followed by the Liga MX Apertura 2016 Final on Sunday, December 11.

Coverage will include play-by-play, commentary and highlights by UDN’s team of soccer experts, including Pablo Ramirez, Enrique “Perro” Bermúdez, and Luis Omar Tapia, among others.
