New Film Celebrates Liverpool's Triumph In Istanbul

It had to happen sooner or later. One of the most incredible soccer matches in the history of the sport has found its way on to the silver screen.

The 2005 Champions League Final between AC Milan and Liverpool will live in infamy for many soccer fans and Liverpool supporters around the world. And now the game is part of the storyline for a new film titled Will that premieres in Liverpool on October 16, 2011 and will be released across the United Kingdom on October 21. There are no plans as of press time to show the film in the United States.

The movie stars Bob Hoskins (from Who Framed Roger Rabbit). The film tells the story of an orphan who journeys across Europe to the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul. There are even cameos starring Kenny Dalglish, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
