Millwall Hooligans Clash With Fans and Police at Wembley FA Cup Semi-Final [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

Skirmishes between Millwall supporters erupted at Wembley today in the latter stages of the FA Cup semi-final between Wigan and Millwall.

TV footage and photographs showed small groups of Millwall supporters fighting between themselves near a corner of the ground. There were scenes of policemen trying to push fans back, while it appeared that some Millwall supporters jeered their own fans who were causing the hooliganism.

According to reports from the ground, there were 20 or more hooligans involved in the ruckus where punches were thrown. Millwall supporters reportedly also ripped up seats and threw them.

The Football Association will undoubtedly take action as a result of the violence today in the worst skirmishes seen at Wembley Stadium since the redeveloped ground opened.

In the match itself, Wigan Athletic comfortably defeated Millwall two-nil to reach the final of the FA Cup.

According to The Daily Mirror, ten supporters were arrested at the match. Meanwhile, the FA is categorizing the hooliganism as “sporadic violence and disorder.”
