Massimiliano Allegri Confirms He Will Leave AC Milan At End of Season

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that he will leave the Serie A club at the end of this season.

Allegri told Gazzetta dello Sport:

“Of course this is my last Christmas at AC Milan.

“I do not know who will be the new coach, that is a problem that does not concern me.

“We did what we needed, in three seasons, the team and I, we got the results we were asked to.

“Unfortunately now the third place is far away, but there is the Coppa Italia, which becomes a good option to leave AC Milan to remain in Europe.”

AC Milan currently sit in the unfamiliar place of 13th in Serie A, 27 points behind leaders Juventus and 17 points outside a UEFA Champions League qualification spot.

Milan’s next game is Monday, January 6 against Atalanta at San Siro.
