Marko Arnautovic's Home Invaded During International Duty

Arnautovic Is The Victim Of Vandals.

Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovic has been the subject of quite a bit of debate over the past few weeks. His arrogant, selfish actions have caused a bit of a stir around his club, and it’s possible that some mental supporters took their revenge on the young star. He refused to shake the hand of his manager after being subsituted, and then he called Werder Bremen a dump in front of television cameras after their 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Stuttgart. Clearly, he’s not made himself a fan favorite at his new club.

There’s been no evidence yet to suggest that the crime was committed by Werder Bremen ultras. It could have just been common vandals, but then again common vandals don’t knock down nine concrete pillars and sever a power line. If it was ultras, it’s disgraceful behaviour. If you don’t like a player, get on his back at the ground. It’s stuff like this that escalates into proper fan violence and hooliganism, and Germany’s been doing so well to avoid all of that so far.

Thomas Schaaf will need to have a sit down with the striker and try and focus him, because his actions have put him in harm’s way. I’m sure even if he did plan on settling down at Werder Bremen, those plans are out the window now after this latest piece of news. Let’s hope it was just common vandals, because anything else would be a disgrace to the club and to the city itself. The last thing Arnautovic needs after all he’s already been up to is some crazed fans trying to scare him out of the club.

Arnautovic picked up an injury on international duty with Austria and will not feature for Werder Bremen this weekend.
