Kaka Has Verbal Agreement to Join Orlando City In MLS Next Year, Says Source

Kaka é o brasileiro com mais gols na Champions League

Brazilian maestro Kaka has a verbal agreement to join Orlando City in MLS next year, says Spanish newspaper AS. And AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Kaka can leave the club on a free transfer if AC Milan fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Milan currently sit in 11th position in Serie A, so UEFA Champions League qualification looks doubtful given the Italian club’s current run of form under head coach Clarence Seedorf.

Galliani said,

“Kaká has a contract until 2015. If we don’t make the 2014/15 Champions League, he has the option to leave. We hope he doesn’t. He’ll decide, not us.”

Orlando, who will make its MLS debut in the spring of 2015, has a large population of Brazilians in addition to the thousands of Brazilians who travel to Orlando every year on vacation.

Meanwhile, Orlando City Soccer Club President Phil Rawlins had this to say about the potential move, on Twitter:

According to AS, “Orlando City is the newest MLS franchise and was bought by Brazilian billionaire Flávio Augusto da Silva. The magnate has a long-standing personal and professional friendship with Kaká, and on Saturday revealed via his Facebook account that there will soon be “big news at Orlando City.”
