Young Schalke defender Joel Matip has been hospitalized with Malaria following time out on international duty with Cameroon. As if things couldn’t get any worse for Schalke.

While Matip’s condition has still not been made public, we all wish a speedy return to the game for the young player who will be looking to help his side out of their current slump. Check back here for updates as the situation progresses.
