Heartwarming trailer for Stanley Matthews film shows different side to English legend

When you think of Stanley Matthews, a lot of memories come to mind — English football legend, the Wizard of the dribble, the star of the Matthews Final (1953 FA Cup), etc. But how many of you knew the impact that Matthews left behind a legacy in Africa where he coached youth players? Neither did we.

It’s just one of the plot lines of the upcoming film about one of the greatest English footballers of all time, Sir Stanley Matthews.

Here’s the first in a series of official “behind the scenes” looks into MATTHEWS, a soon-to-be-released feature film on the life and times of one of the greatest sportsmen of the 20th century.
