God bless Ian Darke and ESPN2. After their best plans went to ruins when Tottenham Hotspur and Everton cancelled their opening match of the season Thursday, the game that ESPN2 was supposed to show live to viewers in the United States, ESPN will now show a different match live instead.
Fulham against Aston Villa will be the 10am ET game on Saturday. And what a match it’ll be. Fulham, featuring Clint Dempsey, will be at home at one of my favorite grounds in the Premier League, Craven Cottage, against an Aston Villa side, of which we don’t know how they look after losing Stewart Downing and Ashley Young. It should be an entertaining match no matter what.
