England vs Ukraine, 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Open Thread

For viewers in the United States, England kicks off its second match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification journey with a home match against Ukraine at 3pm ET.

It’s a match where, if England can get a win, it’ll certainly set them off on a fantastic start in their group. After the impressive win by The Three Lions on Friday, it’s imperative that England puts in a good performance in front of their home fans. England, ranked number three in the world, are riding on a high right now after two successive victories (Moldova, and the friendly win against Italy).

England faces a long list of injuries with John Terry, Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Jack Wilshere, Gareth Barry, Scott Parker and others out injured.

Ukraine will be gunning for a victory especially after the disappointment of their exit in Euro 2012 to the English. This should be a good, entertaining game to watch.
