Diego Costa's £32million Buy-Out Clause Won't Halt Arsenal, Says Report

Arsenal are interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, and the £32million buy-out clause placed on his head won’t prevent Arsene Wenger from making an offer for the future Spain striker, according to a report tonight in the British media.

Last night, the same tabloid ran a story that Dimitar Berbatov was being tipped as a future Arsenal player. And the paper’s Friday morning edition is now reporting that Costa could be a target for the Gunners.

Considering that the January transfer window is open, it’s always difficult to ascertain whether the transfer gossip printed in the media, especially British tabloids, is true or not. There’s no doubt that Arsenal are in need of a striker given the fact that Olivier Giroud, Nicklas Bendtner and Yaya Sanogo are all out injured. Whether Wenger will consider a huge splash in the transfer market to try to sign Costa, we’ll have to wait to see.
