Manchester City playmaker David Silva has been ruled out of Saturday's Barclays Premier League trip to Crystal Palace with an ankle injury.

The Spaniard is expected to be fit for Tuesday's Champions League clash against Juventus but midfielder Fabian Delph (hamstring) faces a month out with the injury suffered on international duty.

Bacary Sagna is fit after an ankle scare but fellow full-backs Pablo Zabaleta (knee) and Gael Clichy (ankle) remain sidelined. New signings Kevin de Bruyne and Nicolas Otamendi are in contention to make debuts.

Provisional squad: Hart, Caballero, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Otamendi, Demichelis, Kolarov, Maffeo, Nasri, De Bruyne, Navas, Toure, Fernandinho, Fernando, Aguero, Sterling, Bony, Iheanacho, Roberts.
