Crystal Palace Home and Away Kits For 2014/15 Season [PHOTO]

Last month, Crystal Palace FC unveiled their new home and away kits, to be worn in the 2014/15 season.

At first glance, both kits seem quite attractive, and generate a number of talking points.

First, it’s noticeable that there is no primary sponsor in the middle of the shirts. Premier League fans may recall that last season the club’s jerseys were adorned with the GAC logo, but the logistics company has decided not to continue its partnership with the South London club.

Those who were hoping to see the first unsponsored kits in the top flight since the mid-90s will be disappointed, however. A new sponsor, to be announced soon, will step in to fill the void.

The second talking point is that Palace have ditched small-time supplier Avec in favor of Macron. The Italian brand have something of a mixed record when it comes to recent kit design, but these new Palace offerings look more SSC Napoli than Aston Villa (which will be a relief for Palace fans).

Speaking of Napoli, the new Palace away kit’s colors are the same as the Serie A club’s away strip last season.

It’s a gorgeous yellow-and-sky blue jersey, whose design is based on that of SS Lazio’s 2013/14 home kit. The shorts and socks are sky blue, with yellow trim.

The home kit is equally attractive, as the club has reverted back to thinner stripes, after last season’s half-and-half shirt. The colors are the club’s traditional red-and-blue, with smatterings of yellow on the collar, sleeve cuffs and in the Macron logos.

The kit’s design is identical to that of Napoli’s special edition 2014 Coppa Italia Final kit. The shorts and socks are primarily blue, with red trim.

Overall, both home and away strips are very easy on the eye, and their Italian design will make the Selhurst Park faithful feel like they’re watching a team from Southern Italy. The famously raucous South Londoners finally have a team their passion deserves, and next season they’ll have a couple of gorgeous kits, to boot.
