Concacaf reveals Gold Cup host cities for this summer

Concacaf has revealed the host cities and stadiums for the 2023 Gold Cup. The competition takes place across 14 US areas and one Canadian city. Along with announcing the full list of stadiums, the governing body also reported that Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium) will host the 2023 Gold Cup Final.
 
“The host cities and venues we have selected all have strong track records of hosting elite football, and world class events,” stated Concacaf president Victor Montagliani. “I want to thank each and every one of them for their commitment to Concacaf, to our Gold Cup, and to our sport.”

“This is a tremendous time for football in the region with Nations Leagues, men’s and women’s Gold Cups, and other exciting national team and club competitions taking place over the next three years as we head towards the FIFA World Cup 2026.”
 
“I look forward with great anticipation to watching the Gold Cup Prelims in June and enjoying compelling football involving all the Gold Cup teams right through to the Final and crowning a champion in Los Angeles on July 16.”

USMNT enter tourney as reigning Gold Cup winners

The tournament is set to begin on June 16th and will run for exactly one month. Along with hosting the competition, the United States national team are also the reigning champions. Moreover, the Yanks wrapped up qualification to the 17th edition of the Gold Cup by winning their Nations League group last month.

16 total teams will take part of the tournament his summer. The official draw to determine group fixtures is April 14. Along with Concacaf teams, Qatar will also feature in the competition through an invitation. Then, organizers release exact scheduling and ticketing information following the draw.
