Barcelona game bumped to beIN SPORTS Connect

beIN SPORTS has bumped Barcelona from beIN SPORTS en Español to beIN SPORTS Connect in anticipation of Real Madrid winning the title on Sunday in their match against Malaga.

Originally, the Barcelona-Eibar game on Sunday was scheduled to air on beIN SPORTS en Español but on late Thursday afternoon, beIN SPORTS made the decision to push the Barca game to the streaming beIN SPORTS Connect platform in order to show Malaga-Real Madrid on both beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Español.

With Real Madrid only needing a draw to win the 2016/17 La Liga title, all expectations are that Real Madrid will be crowned champions in front of a bumper viewing audience on both beIN SPORTS channels. For Barcelona supporters who are holding out hope that the Catalan team can win the title if Real Madrid loses and Barca wins, they’ll have to be resigned to watching the game on beIN SPORTS Connect.

The sudden chain of events are a reaction to Real Madrid’s convincing win on Wednesday against Celta, which pushes Los Blancos three points ahead of Barcelona with just one game to go.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona play their games on Sunday at the same exact time. Thus, the reason why Barcelona isn’t being shown on television for perhaps the first and only time this season.

For those Barca fans wanting to watch the game on beIN SPORTS Connect but don’t have access, don’t despair. You can watch the game via fubo Premier on a 7-day free trial, which integrates the beIN SPORTS Connect streams directly into fubo Premier. Plus, you can cast the stream directly to your TV set with Google Chromecast, Apple TV or Roku, if you like.
