Al Hilal continues to surprise at the FIFA Club World Cup, pulling off a massive upset by defeating Manchester City and booking a quarterfinal matchup against Fluminense as they aim for a spot in the semifinals.
However, the Saudi club suffered a major blow with the injury to star striker Aleksandar Mitrović, who has been ruled out for the entire tournament in the United States. For the quarterfinals, manager Simone Inzaghi has already found his replacement.
Abderrazak Hamdallah, a Moroccan striker, joins the team on loan from Al Shabab (Saudi Arabia). He previously played for Al Nassr and Al Ittihad, two of Saudi Arabia’s other major clubs.
The 33-year-old forward boasts an impressive career tally: 347 goals in 446 matches, giving him a scoring average of 0.77 goals per game—higher than both Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé, and only slightly behind Lionel Messi.
Hamdallah is currently ranked as the 24th highest-scoring active player in the world and was part of Morocco’s squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where the Atlas Lions made a historic run to the semifinals.
