Please stop giving me grief about the comments that came out in the papers today. You got the wrong guy. I am not the one that is optimistic about Mallorca’s ability to overturn a 2-0 first leg deficit against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.
They are inspired and Gregorio Manzano is ready to pull out the DVD they need for inspiration and everyone knows which one that is. “Barcelona are not invincible. We all remember how Getafe beat them in the semi-finals two seasons ago and if they can do it, there’s no reason why we can’t, too,” said Juan Arango (not me!!!!) during a pre-match interview.
They are aware about where their priorities lie. (The other) Arango mentioned that the team’s priority is to remain in the Spanish top flight, but they are quite aware they are just one “step” away from the Copa final, but for Barca this could be the game that can stop the bleeding and end an 11-year drought.
So please, leave me alone. Just because I agree with him, doesn’t mean that it is going to happen. But watch out, if the Blaugrana aren’t on their P’s and Q’s… they could be on the precipice of a meltdown of cataclysmic proportions and you can copy-paste their reactions after the Getafe debacle right on the field at the Ono Stadi.
