Another round of summer friendlies in the US and Canada has come and gone.  And they have once again been a smashing success.  Crowds have been good as have the all-important TV ratings.  There were teams from MLS, USL, NASL, Premier League, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Serie A, Primeira Liga and La Liga.  Here’s a recap of how they all played out.

Seven games were sellouts, another six were right on the brink of being sold out and six games drew at least 40,000 people.  A lot of people don’t particularly care for these friendlies, but as long as there is a market for them and as long as clubs can keep making money, they’ll keep playing here which is just fine.
