According to multiple reports, the Brazilian has demanded $35 million per year, including a lucrative renewal bonus, that would see him become the highest-paid player at the club, even surpassing newly signed Kylian Mbappe.
So far, the Whites have been reluctant to meet those demands, especially considering Vinicius’ recent dip in form—most notably during the Club World Cup, where he failed to make a significant impact. This hesitation has created a window of opportunity that Saudi Pro League officials are eager to exploit.
Saudi’s gamble: Bigger than Neymar and Mbappe

Saudi Arabia is preparing a world-record $351 million transfer bid for Vinicius Jr., which would surpass the $258 million PSG paid for Neymar in 2017.
But that’s only the beginning. The contract proposed by the Saudi investors is worth a staggering $1.2 billion over five years—yes, $200 million per year, excluding potential bonuses and sponsorship revenue. “Vinicius has also been offered around €1bn… across a proposed five-year contract sent in writing as a non-binding bid,” the report adds.
This would make the Brazilian the second-highest-paid player in the world, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr.
