EPL Commentator Schedule

EPL commentators on NBC: May 3 and 4

Even though there are only three midweek games in the Premier League, each one carries its own significance. European placement, relegation and even the title race have implications in the trio of games.

That starts with Liverpool hosting Fulham, a rematch of these clubs’ opening game of the 2022/23 season. That 2-2 draw set the tone for both clubs over the rest of the season. Liverpool has battled relative mediocrity in a disappointing season. Fulham, on the other hand, contended with some of the best clubs. It is poised for a top-of-the-table finish this season.

Also on Wednesday, the favorites for the Premier League, Manchester City, look to take a step toward a fifth Premier League crown in the last six seasons. City hosts West Ham United, the team Erling Haaland scored his first Premier League goal against in his league debut. West Ham is just about clear of the drop. With four points between the Hammers and the bottom three, it can rely on its remaining games, as City on the road is a tall order.

Rounding out the midweek fixtures is the best of the bunch. Brighton and Hove Albion hosts Manchester United in a rematch of the FA Cup semifinal. Brighton stunned Old Trafford in these clubs’ first meeting of the season with a 2-1 win. If it can do the same to third-place United again, it would open up possibilities. The Seagulls have played three fewer games than many of the clubs above them. Therefore, if it can win those games, Brighton can jump into the Europa League spots.
