Club América’s 4-1 victory over Pumas UNAM in the first leg of the Liga MX Quarter-finals drew 1.543 million viewers to Univision and Univision Deportes, the network’s largest viewership since March’s SuperClásico.
Tuesday’s UEFA Champion’s League Semi-Final second leg match on FOX Sports 1 was the network’s most-watched Champion’s League broadcast of the 2017-2018 season and beat out every FOX Sports 1 broadcast for the 2016-2017 campaign, drawing 471,000 viewers to the network. An additional 490,000 viewers watched on FOX Deportes, providing that network with its most-viewed game of the season thus far.
The Hudson River Derby between New York Red Bulls and New York City FC was watched by 334,000 viewers Sunday afternoon on ESPN, a slight increase from 326,000 in August of last year but down 24% from 439,000 for ESPN’s first broadcast of the derby in 2016. Los Angeles FC’s second home match of 2018 drew 384,000 viewers to Univision and Univision Deportes, the network’s third largest MLS audience this year.
