Serious question… What does MLS need to improve to get you to watch more games on TV?

In an interview this week with Sports Illustrated, senior writer Grant Wahl admitted that “TV ratings remain low, probably the league’s biggest remaining challenge.” So what has to change to have a positive impact on the numbers?

Next season, FOX, ESPN and Univision will share the rights to the TV coverage, but MLS has been easily accessible on TV for years across NBC, NBCSN, ESPN and ESPN2, so what gives?
