On this week’s episode of Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, pundit Jamie Carragher blasted Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker for his poor performance against Stoke City.
Carragher slated Mertesacker for the German’s performance against Stoke City. As Arsenal captain for the day, Mertesacker repeatedly struggled against Stoke and played well below his level.
Gary Neville added more fuel to the fire by saying that Arsenal players abandoned each other, and weren’t supporting each other on the pitch.
Carragher criticized Arsenal fans as classless for the way they abused Arsene Wenger earlier this week.
