Brazilian defender David Luiz scored his first international goal of his career, when he scored against Chile in the 18th minute of the Round of 16 World Cup game.
Luiz scored the goal after the ball floated in to the far post. Luiz was “johnny on the spot” for Brazil as he reacted quickly to the cross and knocked the ball into the net.
While Luiz was credited with the goal, it appeared to be an own goal by Gonzalo Jara.
