Lyon (AFP) – Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday became the first player to make 17 appearances at European Championship finals when he started against Hungary in Wednesday’s crunch Euro 2016 tie.

Ronaldo is also aiming to become the first player to score in four separate Euros finals, with Portugal needing at least a point to secure their place in the last 16.
