Real Madrid and adidas have unveiled the Spanish club’s new home shirt for the 2013-14 season.
It’s an incredibly smart design from adidas (hint hint Nike with your England shirt design). The orange and silver trim complement the shirt well.
“adidas wanted to go a step further in innovation and product design,” said a statement from the kit designer. “The highlight details for the first time are in orange, a completely new hue for the Club. Leading for the first time three colour elements in the design of the shirt: collar and cuffs in white, orange and grey. Also notice the front panel which is different to previous collections, it presents a pattern of horizontal blocks, giving the shirt a unique texture. Finally, a high density print with the words “REAL MADRID” on the back of the neck, showing the white club membership from all angles.”
Rather than marketing hyperbole, everything above that adidas says makes sense, and are integral parts to the design of the new Real Madrid home shirt.
