Nemanja Vidic Could Leave Manchester United For Nothing in the Summer: Nightly Soccer Report

As if things couldn’t get any worse for Manchester United, defender Nemanja Vidic could leave the club on a free transfer in the summer after his agent has ruled out a contract extension at the end of this season.

Vidic has only six months remaining on his contract, but the Serb wants to evaluate his options before deciding whether to stay with United or move to another top club.

Vidic’s agent Silvano Martina told Radio Crc in Napoli:

“Vidic, given his contract situation, has several teams looking at him. Vidic is a very good player and will have no trouble finding a new club. For the time being we are remaining calm. However, at the moment, I would rule out an extension with Manchester United.”

It sounds like the player’s agent is trying to get Vidic a whopping new deal and a bigger pay check, but given United’s current predicament, it’s more likely than ever that Vidic will listen closely to offers from other clubs.
