Mexico-Germany delivered more than 11 million viewers across Telemundo Deportes and FOX Sports combined in a World Cup game that broke several records for both broadcasters.
Telemundo’s live coverage of the World Cup game between Mexico and Germany averaged 7.12 million viewers, making it the most-watched sporting event ever in the history of the Spanish-language Telemundo network.
The game also achieved other milestones, including:
• The most-watched World Cup group stage game ever on Spanish-language TV (since 1994);
• Telemundo’s most-watched Mexico World Cup group stage match ever in any language on any network (since 1994); and
• Most live-streamed event in Telemundo history with 1.1 million unique online viewers.

Meanwhile, FOX Sports drew 4,002,000 viewers on FS1, only to be eclipsed later in the day by Brazil’s exciting 1-1 draw with Switzerland on FS1, which attracted viewership of 4,086,000 viewers. Telemundo’s coverage of the Brazil-Switzerland game, which was also simulcast on NBCSN, averaged 4.35 million viewers.
Through the first four days of the tournament, World Cup matches on FOX and FS1 are averaging 2,241,000 viewers.
