Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that Willian has chosen Chelsea over Tottenham Hotspur.
Mourinho made the statement in a press conference today. The Brazilian midfielder still needs to complete a medical before he can take a giant step closer to officially becoming a Chelsea footballer, but the news will come as a massive blow to Tottenham Hotspur who were on the verge of signing Willian yesterday before Chelsea swooped in.
When asked about Willian, Mourinho said:
“I think he’s already made his decision.
“I don’t like to speak before time because football can be crazy.
“I know what the player wants, so in this moment we cannot hide. That is a possibility.”
The Anzhi attacking midfielder had passed a medical and agreed personal terms with Tottenham on Wednesday, but on Thursday morning he was reported to be considering his options.
