Jose Mourinho Expects On-Loan Keeper Thibaut Courtois to Start Next Season at Chelsea: Nightly Soccer Report

The 21-year-old talented goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is on the books at Chelsea but playing on loan at Atletico Madrid, will return to Stamford Bridge next season to compete with Petr Cech for the starting position at Chelsea.

When asked whether Courtois would be a Chelsea player next season, Mourinho said:

“I believe so, I don’t think he will be loaned out. We don’t struggle to keep him because he has two more years on his contract. I don’t need to give any assurances to any player.

“A player that has a contract with Chelsea has a contract with Chelsea. Chelsea has Petr Cech, Courtois and Schwarzer. We are in a good condition.”
