Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has arrived in Italy today to finalize his transfer to Napoli in a deal rumored to be £31.8million on a five-year contract worth £140,000 a week.
Higuain was mobbed at the airport by enthusiastic Napoli supporters. The Argentine striker has been one of the hottest transfer targets this summer with Arsenal, Tottenham and other clubs trying to capture his signature.
Higuain is expected to have his medical soon before completing the deal.
Meanwhile, Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina is also reported to be on his way to Italy to conduct his medical before signing a one-season loan deal.
