Franck Ribery Under Pressure To Perform This Season

Ribery Is Under Pressure To Succeed This Season.

Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery knows that this season must be a big one for him or he could find himself edging away from his club sooner rather than later. Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has come out today and stated that Franck Ribery ‘owes’ Bayern Munich and that he must be ‘particularly ambitious’ this season.

After Franck Ribery’s recent troubles with both French authorities and the French Football Federation, it is good to know that his club still stand by him in what are extremely turbulent times for the French international.

Uli Hoeness hasn’t been the only one to put the pressure on Ribery at Bayern; Louis van Gaal has also stated his expectations for Ribery this season. With Thomas Mueller and Toni Kroos being two of the younger players who are pushing for a regular place in the side, as well as Hamit Altintop trying to impress his manager and prove his worth to the team, Franck Ribery must show that he deserves to have an undisputed starting place in the Bayern Munich side.

Ribery’s pre-season form has been promising, with a stellar performance against Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid in particular. If Ribery can keep it up, he will be the star of Bayern Munich’s season to the delight of Die roten fans and the Bayern Munich board.
