Chelsea visit to Tottenham Hotspur highlighted a nine match weekend in the Premier League, with an erratic performance from Heurelho Gomes gifting the Blues an equalizer, denying a match winner in the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane. That the reqult allowed Manchester City, 3-1 winners at Upton Park, to sit joint top of the table ahead of tomorrow’s marquee match, Arsenal’s visit to Manchester United, where the winner will gain first place in the English Premier League after 17 rounds.

On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, I am joined by Kartik Krishnaiyer to discuss those matches as well as the rest of the fixtures in weekend Premier League action. We take extra time to talk about Spurs-Chelsea, from Carlo Ancelotti’s plan to stop Gareth Bale, John Terry’s strong performance, to the overlooked Petr Cech. In addition, we talk about Carlos Tévez’s attempt to leave Manchester City before moving on to Monday’s match, breaking down the particulars of the season’s first Manchester United-Arsenal meeting, looking back at the last two years to try and figure out what United’s likely to due, asking if it even matters against an Arsenal site that has lacked the mentality to down the Devils.
