El Hadji Diouf Deserves To Be Banned For Sick Taunts

I have a feeling that El Hadji Diouf has never read the book How To Win Friends And Influence People. If he had, perhaps the Blackburn striker wouldn’t have behaved the way he did during Saturday’s FA Cup game against Queens Park Rangers (QPR) where he stood over QPR’s Jamie Mackie, who had just broken his leg in a tackle, and allegedly said “F*** u and f*** your leg.”

Diouf wasn’t even involved in the 50-50 tackle that resulted in Mackie breaking both his tibia and his fibula (see video of the incident on The FA website). The sickening taunting by Diouf provoked QPR manager Neil Warnock to say this about Diouf.

“For many years I have thought he (Diouf) was the gutter type – I was going to call him a sewer rat but that might be insulting to sewer rats.”

I’m really surprised that Diouf has been able to get this far in the Premier League without getting severely punished. He’s one of the most hated and despicable players in the league. He has a history of abuse ranging from spitting at opposing players to abusing ball boys. Yet Blackburn continue to employ him and pay his wages.
