Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will join Liverpool Football Club in January from FC Basel, according to a report tonight.
Salah’s close friend and former teammate Mohamed Zika revealed the news to Egyptian TV today. Salah, a 21-year-old winger with 27 caps for Egypt and who is valued at 12million Euros, was named CAF Most Promising African Talent of the Year in 2012.
“He makes us and all of Egypt proud,” said Zika. “Everyone talks about Mohamed Salah now. And aside from that, he’s my friend, so I’m even happier for him.”
(Egyptian site Kingfut provided the news and translation of the above dialogue.)
