Italy and AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi, who was linked to a move to Manchester United during the summer, has joked that he’s lucky he didn’t move to United otherwise he would have committed suicide by now.
Respected Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri noted De Rossi’s exact comment, which was:
De Rossi on Manchester United: "Luckily I didn't move to Mufc, otherwise right now I would have suicided"

Manchester United currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal. While De Rossi’s comment is bound to rule out any future advance from United, Manchester United surely could have used him for the first half of the 2013/14 Premier League season.
