Crystal Palace Appoint Tony Pulis As Manager

Crystal Palace have appointed Tony Pulis as the club’s new manager.

Pulis has signed a 2.5 year contract. He’ll be in the crowd for their away match against Hull City, but he won’t be managing the side today. That’ll be the responsibility of caretaker boss Keith Millen.

If a report in a British tabloid is believed to be true, Pulis will receive a £1million survival bonus incentive if he manages to prevent Crystal Palace from being relegated this season.

Pulis left Stoke City by mutual consent in May 2013 after a season with the Potters where many of the supporters became disillusioned with his substitutions, excuses in media interviews and negative tactics.

The Welshman, aged 55, will take charge of his first match as Palace boss next Saturday when the club plays Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Pulis replaces Ian Holloway, who left the club by mutual consent in late October.
