East Rutherford (United States) (AFP) – Colombia defeated Peru 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out to book their place in the semi-finals of the Copa America Centenario.
The Colombians on Friday advanced to their first appearance in the last four since 2004 after goalkeeper David Ospina saved Miguel Trauco’s spot-kick before Christian Cueva shot over the bar for Peru.
Colombia will play either Mexico or Chile in the semi-finals in Chicago next Wednesday.
