Chelsea Accept Manchester United's £37million Bid For Juan Mata

Juan Mata will have a medical at Manchester United tomorrow in advance of his £37million transfer from Chelsea to the Old Trafford club.

Chelsea have accepted the £37million bid and have released the player to Manchester United to have his medical conducted, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph newspaper. The transfer will more than double Mata’s £70,000 per week wages.

Mata has already agreed personal terms, and Jose Mourinho has sanctioned the move, clearing Mata’s transfer to the club pending completion of his medical.

The news of Mata’s move from Chelsea to Manchester United was mentioned on-air by commentator Martin Tyler during the Capital One Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Sunderland.
