Celtic Manager Neil Lennon Leaves Club; Tipped For WBA or Norwich Jobs

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has left the Glasgow club.

A source to The Daily Record newspaper said that:

“It’s a sad day, but Neil has been talking to the club for some time about his situation, he feels he needs a fresh challenge and a break from the strains of this job. It happens with every manager, it was the same for Martin O’Neill and Gordon Strachan, eventually the time arrives when it is best for all concerned to move on.”

Rumors are that Lennon is being tipped for the jobs at West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City. The Scot has been in charge of Celtic for almost four years. During his time at Parkhead, Lennon has led Celtic to three league championships in a row and into the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as well as winning the Scottish Cup on two occasions.

An official statement is expected later today from Celtic FC.

Meanwhile, Henrik Larsson is currently the favorite to take the job at Glasgow Celtic.
