Bryan Reynolds: Several Euro clubs move for USMNT defender

USMNT defender Bryan Reynolds could be on the move again this summer. The full back is supposedly being tracked by Genk, Sparta Prague, Swansea and Watford ahead of the summer transfer window. La Repubblica, as reported by Get Football, is claiming that Belgian giants Genk have joined the others in pursuit of the American.

Reynolds is currently on loan at Belgian side Westerlo from Roma. The Italian club previously purchased the right back from FC Dallas in 2021. However, he has only managed eight total appearances for Roma after spending the last few seasons on loan. Reynolds spent the second half of the 2021/22 campaign on loan at KV Kortrijk.

Westerlo reportedly have buy option for USMNT defender Bryan Reynolds

The aforementioned news outlet also reports that Westerlo have a $7.5 million purchase option on Reynolds. Nevertheless, the fee could very well be too steep for the Antwerp-based club. Reynolds has, however, been a mainstay in the Belgian side during the current campaign.

After starting the season on the bench, the American has made 22 consecutive Jupiler Pro League starts for matches in which he is fit. Westerlo currently sit sixth in the Belgian top flight table. Genk, on the other hand, lead the league by three points over Union Saint-Gilloise.

Roma could be looking to move on from American

It is thought that Roma could cash in on Reynolds this summer. They previously spent $8 million to bring the American to Europe. The Italian giants will now apparently look to recoup some of that money.

Reynolds played the entire match for the USMNT on Friday in Grenada. The Yanks thumped the Caribbean nation 7-1 on the night. Oddly enough, Reynolds lined up next to Mark McKenzie in defense for the Americans during the game. McKenzie currently plays for Genk in the Jupiler Pro League.
