‘Big Six’ still battling as Premier League season rolls on

The Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ sides still have plenty to play for as the season reaches its crucial final few weeks.

Just two points separate Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race, although Pep Guardiola’s side have what could be a vital game in hand on the Reds.

City remain favourites with the bookmakers to come out on top and there will be plenty of punters eager to use the Betfair welcome bonus to back them to do just that.

They head to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Sunday aiming to make it 13 league victories from their last 14 matches.

Liverpool are also in action on Sunday as they welcome Chelsea to Anfield. The Reds are unbeaten in their last 12 league games, but they could find things difficult against Maurizio Sarri’s side.

The Blues moved up to third in third in the table with their 2-0 victory over West Ham United on Monday, with Eden Hazard producing a dazzling performance.

They are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Liverpool and will undoubtedly be keen to maintain their challenge for a top four spot this season.

Chelsea’s rivals will be hoping Liverpool do them a favour this weekend as they battle to secure a Champions League qualification place.

Tottenham Hotspur have the first chance to put pressure on the teams around them when they face Huddersfield Town in Saturday’s lunchtime fixture.

Spurs began life in their new stadium with a 2-0 victory over Palace and they followed up by beating Man City 1-0 there in the Champions League in midweek.

Huddersfield have been woeful on the road this season and this should be a comfortable home victory despite Harry Kane’s absence through injury.

Manchester United are also in action on Saturday as they welcome West Ham to Old Trafford. The Red Devils were beaten at Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last league outing, but should bounce back this weekend.

Arsenal must wait until Monday for their game and it could well be a tricky affair. The Gunners travel to face a Watford side who will be full of confidence after reaching the final of the FA Cup.

Unai Emery’s side have won just once away from home in the league since November and the Hornets could be a good bet to add to their woes at Vicarage Road.
