Aston Villa have suffered a blow as striker Libor Kozak has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken leg. The Czech striker broke his leg during training today.
In December, Kozak made five appearances for the Villans, scoring twice. So far this season, he had scored four goals in 14 appearances.
While Aston Villa’s performances have been poor in recent weeks, Kozak had been able to step in and help Villa out given that Christian Benteke has been nowhere near the form he was in last season.
The big question for Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner now is whether the club decides to pick up another striker in the window, or try to make do with what they have. The decision could have a huge impact on Aston Villa’s survival hopes this season.
