Moscow (AFP) – Russian Premier League club Terek Grozny signed Venezuelan international defender Wilker Angel, Terek president Magomed Daudov announced on his Instagram page on Monday.
“We had long talks with the footballer and his representatives,” Daudov wrote.
“Angel has proposals from two Italian Serie A clubs and a Spanish La Liga outfit. But we managed to persuade him to join our club.”
The 23-year-old Angel has scored two goals in 11 matches for Venezuela’s national team.
He also won two national titles with Venezuelan side Deportivo Tachira, where he played from 2011-16.
