
Toulouse (France) (AFP) – Cameroonian international Stephane Mbia announced on Tuesday that he will sign a deal to join French Ligue 1 club Toulouse.
The 32-year-old midfielder had spent the last two years in the Chinese Super League playing for Hebei China Fortune, but returns to France having started his career at Rennes before a two-year spell at Marseille, where he won the 2010 French title.
“Very happy and proud to announce that I will sign for Toulouse in the coming days,” Mbia wrote on Twitter. “I am very happy to be returning to Ligue 1.”
Mbia played for a year in the Premier League with Queens Park Rangers before leaving for Sevilla in 2013, and spent the 2015-16 campaign at Turkish side Trabzonspor.
He has made 67 international appearances, scoring five goals.
