Steve Zakuani Suffers Severe Leg Injury

In the early stages of tonight’s MLS match between the Rapids and Sounders, young Seattle star Steve Zakuani suffered what appears likely to be a tibia fracture after an extremely clumsy challenge by Rapids midfielder Brian Mullan.

Here’s to hoping that Zakuani heals quickly and gets back to full health in quick order.

Mullan of course received his ticket to the shower, and here’s hoping he gets a solid suspension to prevent similar risky challenges on the pitch.
