World Cup in 4K: Details about FOX's 4K app from Hisense

Soccer fans in the United States can watch this summer’s World Cup in 4K HDR with a Hisense 4K television, an app developed by FOX Sports and a cable/satellite subscription that includes the FOX and FS1 networks.

The World Cup in 4K HDR is available across a select range of Hisense premium Ultra HD TVs, including the recently launched Hisense H6E, H8E (see photo below) and H9E.

The app (see screenshot above) is entitled the FOX Sports: 2018 FIFA World Cup Edition.

With the app, which is available through the Hisense smart TVs, you’ll be able to direct your own World Cup experience by selecting one of five live video feeds or watch highlights from an additional 32 potential camera angles. The app also includes on-demand match replays, videos of classic moments in World Cup history through Road to Russia and FOX’s documentary series Phenoms, which chronicles the journey of soccer’s biggest rising stars vying for a spot on their nation’s World Cup roster.

Hisense is the official TV of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and a partner of the U.S. Soccer Federation, including Men’s, Women’s and Youth Soccer.

DIRECTV is advertising that they will broadcast games in 4K too in the United States on channels 105 and 106. You’ll need to contact DIRECTV to add 4K to your account. You’ll also need the SELECT package or higher.

As for Spanish-language TV, Telemundo will offer a special multi camera 4K feed available on demand for every game through Comcast and xFinity.
