Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany remains confident on beating PSG
Despite PSG’s strong form, Bayern Munich also arrive as clear favorites to take the win and secure their place in the final. Relying on an attacking approach, they have managed to defeat Real Madrid and demonstrate their tactical superiority. With this in mind, head coach Vincent Kompany appears highly confident about overcoming the French side.
"Our team has already won at the Bernabéu this year and won in Paris. Paris are obviously still the Champions League holders, but if any team can take on this challenge, it’s us. We know how good Paris are, but we want this game... These games have always been very close; sometimes we’ve won, sometimes they’ve won. It could have gone either way,” Vincent Kompany said at the latest press conference.
Why will not be Vincent Kompany on the touchline for Bayern Munich?
Bayern Munich head into the match against PSG with several key players out, as Lennart Karl, Tom Bischof, Serge Gnabry, and Raphael Guerreiro are sidelined due to injuries. Despite this, they have managed to remain dominant, but they face a bigger problem: Vincent Kompany will not be able to be on the sidelines to manage the team, so they are pinning their hopes on Aaron Danks, his assistant coach.
After receiving a yellow card in the previous match against Real Madrid, Kompany has been suspended for accumulating cards, and has been barred from the locker room and from using his phone. Instead, he will watch the game from a special room under UEFA supervision, as per BILD.
Despite his absence, Vincent expressed confidence in his assistant: "Danksy has plenty of experience, was on the touchline for a while in England. I've got 100% confidence in the staff and everyone else."
PSG head coach Luis Enrique gives full praise to Vincent Kompany and Bayern Munich
Paris Saint-Germain have shown that they possess one of the strongest sporting projects in the world. Not only do they shine defensively, but they also dominate in attack, with Dembélé, Doué, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as their key pillars. However, head coach Luis Enrique has shifted the spotlight toward Vincent Kompany and Bayern Munich, acknowledging their significant strength.
“Vincent Kompany is a top-class manager; he’s already proven that in England. We’ve seen how tough it is to play against them. They’re one of my favourite teams to watch... They’re always on the attack and score an incredible number of goals. It’s great fun to watch a team like that... I like all Bayern’s players—not just Michael Olise, but every single one. They’ve shown their quality,” Luis Enrique said at press conference.

After shinning vs Liverpool, PSG head coach Luis Enrique has decided not to make any changes in his usual starting lineup, betting again on Vitinha and Joao Neves as the main core.
