TuneIn, a leading live audio streaming services, reached an agreement with FOX Sports to broadcast coverage of the 2022 World Cup.
TuneIn Premium service subscribers can listen to live simulcasts of all 64 matches broadcast by FOX Sports. Coverage includes exclusive FOX Sports World Cup programming. For example, TuneIn has ‘FIFA World Cup Live’ and ‘FIFA World Cup Today.’
“When it comes to presenting the beautiful game of soccer at its highest level, it doesn’t get any better for TuneIn listeners than FOX Sports’ expert commentary and analysis around the world’s greatest sporting event. It is international sports broadcasting at its finest,” said Richard Stern, CEO of TuneIn.
“Bringing the FIFA World Cup to TuneIn puts a bright highlight on our continued commitment and focus to showcasing the best of the best in live sports and entertainment to our dedicated listeners.”
TuneIn to broadcast World Cup
TuneIn is the world’s leading live streaming audio service. In fact, it has over 75 million active users monthly. In addition to live sports, the service offers over 100,000 radio stations worldwide.
This includes specific news channels, commercial-free music stations and more. Podcasts are also available via TuneIn, including the World Soccer Talk Podcast.
The Premium Service is available to US subscribers for $7.99 per month. That provides access to the aforementioned Fox Sports coverage plans for the World Cup as well as the simulcasts.
The service can be listened to via various sources including their own App (both Android & iPhone). Also, for those that prefer the radio version of games, TuneIn is available on Roku box, Amazon Alexa, Xbox One and more.
Watching the World Cup in English
TuneIn’s broadcasts of the World Cup open up potential for those looking to save money to watch the World Cup. Peacock will have coverage of all 64 games at the World Cup in Spanish. Peacock, just $4.99 per month, can be combined with TuneIn, $7.99 per month, for an option that is significantly cheaper than getting access to FOX Sports 1.
However, you can choose to listen to World Cup games via talkSPORT or BBC Radio 5 Live (using a VPN service).
You can then sync the radio broadcast via TuneIn to the game on Peacock to watch the World Cup in English.
