Chelsea vs. West Brom: Predicted lineups and team news

CYiJZ8HW8AAgmM2
Chelsea host West Brom at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday as they look to continue their good run of form under new manager Guus Hiddink.

The Blues claimed their first league win under the Dutchman away to Crystal Palace on Jan. 2. They followed that up with a win at home this weekend in the FA Cup against Scunthorpe United. Chelsea now have the chance to win consecutive league games for the first time this season , something which should boost their confidence with games against Arsenal and Manchester United coming up soon.

West Brom are in no immediate danger of relegation but will be looking to climb the Premier League table when they travel to West London on Wednesday. The Baggies only managed a last minute equalizer to secure a replay against Championship side Bristol City in the FA Cup, but they will take confidence from their league form, which has been encouraging of late wins against Newcastle United and Stoke City.

With Chelsea looking like they’re back in business, it’s going to be harder to take points off them, but Tony Pulis’ can draw inspiration from Bournemouth’s 1-0 shock win over the Blues at Stamford Bridge last month.

Team Needs

An injured Eden Hazard is unlikely to be risked for this fixture, which means Willian, Pedro and Oscar will take their usual positions behind the striker. Diego Costa will undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability, but Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao remain out. Thibaut Courtois should be back in the side after sitting out of the FA Cup tie, while John Terry and John Obi Mikel should replace Gary Cahill and Ramires, respectively.

West Brom do not have many injuries to worry about, with Jonas Olsson and Victor Anichebe the only doubts. Salomon Rondon is also available for selection after serving a suspension.
